The AIB International agrees to furnish the student a Baking Science and Technology course of study beginning 1/30-5/21/2014 (spring), 8/20-12/12/2014 (fall). The AIB International reserves the right to revise the content or length of the course of study if it deems necessary at no extra costs for course content or materials. Any such revisions to be necessary or advisable, the AIB International may postpone the scheduled starting date of the class schedule due to unforeseen acts of nature, in this event AIB will reschedule the course as quickly as possible, and in the event the course cannot be rescheduled within a reasonable amount of time, AIB will fully refund tuition and registration fees paid. Upon successful completion of the BS&T course, a student will earn a Baking Technologist certificate. The BST Curriculum consists of Bread & Roll Production, Cake & Sweet Goods Production, Cereal Chemistry, and Production Management. Classes will be held Monday thru Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. with one hour lunch break each day. The AIB does not have a test out option for the Baking Science and Technology course. Admission requires at least two years of baking experience or related educational training, or the successful completion of AIBís Science of Baking Correspondence course to be admitted into the Baking Science and Technology course.
If the requested and upon satisfactory completion of the course of study, the AIB International will, without additional charge, assist student in his or her efforts to obtain employment. However, student understands that the AIB International cannot and does not promise or guarantee that student will find or be provided with employment following satisfactory completion of the course of study. Student records will be kept on file with the Institute indefinitely for the studentís future reference.
In consideration of such course of study and related service, student agrees to pay a total in the amount of $_14,350 to the AIB International as follows:
- A $45.00 registration fee is payable upon execution of this Agreement (AIB will refund all deposits if the applicant notifies AIB in writing of the intention to withdraw at least 30 days prior to start of class).
- Total tuition, plus registration fees for the above named course of study is payable on or before the first day of class. Tuition includes all lab fees and books (no other items are required to be purchased from outside source for class use). Housing costs, meals and travel expenses are not included in the tuition fees.
Student agrees to comply with the policies, rules and regulations of the AIB International, and student understands that his or her failure to comply with the standards, rules and regulations of the AIB International will entitle the Institute to terminate this Agreement with no prior notice to the student. In the event of such termination, the refund policy set forth following hereof shall apply.
It is understood that this Agreement sets forth the entire agreement between the parties and that the AIB International makes no representations or warranties other than those expressed in this Agreement.
Notice to student. Student may cancel this agreement at any time prior to midnight of the third business day after the date the student signs this agreement. All deposits, including the registration fee, will be refunded if the applicant notifies AIB in writing of the intention to withdraw at least 30 days prior to start of class.
Students withdrawing from enrollment after classes begin will receive tuition based on a pro-rated basis according to number of days attended.
When a student withdraws without written notice to AIB, termination shall take effect seven (7) calendar days following the last day of attendance at AIB. For purpose of refund, the terminating student shall be presumed to have attended classes between the start of class and the date of termination.
AIB reserves the right to expel any student for non-payment of agreed fees and tuition, for conduct reflecting discredit on the professional and ethical standards of AIB, or failure to maintain a passing grade average.
ADDITIONAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS
This Enrollment Agreement shall not be altered or amended except by written agreement signed by both parties.
INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS: (students not from the United States-This school is authorized under Federal law to enroll nonimmigrant students.) be sure to send $545 for registration and deposit, if an I-20MN visa application is needed. The I-20MN will not be processed without receipt of the deposit and registration fees! See wiring instructions below. If the student is not granted a visa, AIB will refund the $500 deposit, but will retain the $45.00 registration fee.
No delay on the part of the AIB International in taking action under this Agreement shall be deemed a waiver of any of its rights.
Upon the satisfactory completion of the entire course of study, and upon payment of all tuition, fees and obligations due from the student, the AIB International shall deliver to the student a Certified Baking Technologist certificate upon graduation.
Student also agrees to release and forever discharge the AIB International and all agents, representatives, and employees of said corporation, and their successors, from all claims and demands whatsoever which I, my heirs, executors and administrators, have or may have against said corporation or its successors, agents, representatives, or employees, by reason of my participation in any field trip, excursion, or other event sponsored by said AIB International and any consequences resulting directly or indirectly.
Upon admission, all students are expected to sign this Enrollment Agreement.
