AIB International Becomes Authorized Provider of IACET CEUs
Prestigious Authorization Demonstrates Commitment to High-Quality Lifelong Learning
The International Association for Continuing Education and Training (IACET) has awarded AIB International the prestigious Authorized Provider status.
IACET Authorized Providers are the only organizations approved to offer IACET Continuing Education Units (CEUs). The recognition period extends for five years, and includes all programs offered or created during that time.
The International Association for Continuing Education and Training (IACET) is a non-profit associa-tion dedicated to quality continuing education and training programs. IACET is the only standard-setting or-ganization approved by the American National Standards Institute (ANSI) for continuing education and train-ing. The ANSI/IACET 1-2007 Standard is the core of thousands of educational programs worldwide.
Authorized Provider designation means that the AIB School of Baking and Food Safety Education re-viewed each of the courses offered each year to establish the audience for each course, specific skills that would be taught, expected learning out comes, and how each outcome will be taught and evaluated.
“AIB International is proud of our education programs which trains about 11,000 food safety experts and baking professionals each year in public and custom seminars so that our clients stay on the cutting edge of food safety trends and baking technology,” said Jim Munyon, AIB President and CEO. Munyon also said, “Our new partnership with IACET is a demonstration of our commitment to lifelong learning and high standards for all of our programs, which places us among an elite group of organizations that offer excellent continuing edu-cation and training programs.”
“We are pleased to welcome AIB International as our newest Authorized Provider organization,” said Francenia Johnson, President of IACET and Supervisor of Operations and Measurements at Memphis Light, Gas and Water Division (MLGW) in Memphis, Tenn. Johnson added, “AIB International joins nearly 650 organizations around the globe that have had their programs vetted by third-party experts in continuing educa-tion to ensure the highest possible standards are met.”
In order to achieve Authorized Provider status, AIB International completed a rigorous application process, including a review by an IACET site visitor, and successfully demonstrated adherence to the AN-SI/IACET 1-2007 Standard addressing the design, development, administration, and evaluation of its programs.
