Correspondence Course FAQs

How much time does each course require?
Each course is made up of a series of lessons. Most AIB correspondence course students find each lesson takes between six and eight hours to complete. The time varies from lesson to lesson and person to person, but six to eight hours per lesson is a good estimate.

How long does it take to finish a course?
We allow either six months or one year to complete each course (see course details), but you may finish more quickly if you are able. Because most students have pressing career and family demands, we have set generous time limits. Completing only one lesson per week will allow you to finish any course with time to spare.

What happens when I finish?
When all exams are graded and your average score is above 70 percent, you will receive a certificate of completion, a congratulatory letter and a summary grade report.

All correspondence courses feature:

  • Easy-to-read text
  • Illustrations which make topics easy to understand and remember
  • Online testing for immediate feedback
  • Technical details which provide in-depth knowledge of each subject
  • Review questions with answers provided to check your progress
  • Glossary terms and definitions
  • Printed lessons serve as a valuable reference when you finish the course
