Who would benefit from this FSMA seminar?

This course is designed for people working in US manufacturing and distribution facilities, especially managers and key personnel responsible for food safety in areas including procurement, manufacturing, sanitation, maintenance, and quality assurance. Importers of food products, who will be held accountable for the compliance status of the imported food products, as well as their foreign suppliers will also find this course to be a great benefit.

After this course, you’ll know how to:

  • Use product testing and environmental monitoring as verification activities to demonstrate your preventive controls effectively minimize or prevent identified hazards
  • Update Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP) plans and/or prerequisite program documentation to comply with Hazard Analysis and Risk-Based Preventive Controls (HARPC) and ensure effective controls are developed and established for known or reasonably foreseeable hazards
  • Update your food defense program to comply with FSMA requirements
  • Apply new sanitary transport measures enacted under FSMA
  • Develop your foreign supplier verification program and make sure your existing domestic supplier verification program meets FSMA requirements

Upon successful completion of this course you will receive 1.5 IACET continuing education units.
